The client
French leader in deep foundation works, FRANKI Fondation offers a complete range of piles, retaining structures, and soil reinforcement techniques.
The pile is constructed using a hollow-shaft auger screwed into the ground without significant soil extraction. The auger is then withdrawn without unscrewing while concrete is simultaneously injected through the hollow shaft of the auger.
The reinforcement cage is installed in a second step.

The brief
The hollow auger team consists of 4 people, including 3 operating machinery (drill, excavator, concrete pump).
Pedestrian movement, pedestrian-machine interactions, and slips or trips are hazardous situations that can cause production stoppages (estimated time spent in blind spots = 27 min/day) and sometimes collisions.
Communication is difficult and imprecise: horns, shouting, gestures, stress, misunderstandings.
The deployed solution
We deployed VOKKERO GUARDIAN equipment within the hollow auger team to enable clear and instant communication in an environment where noise from the machinery can reach 100 decibels.
The coverage range provided by VOKKERO GUARDIAN is also a significant advantage for the drill, excavator, and concrete pump operators, who can sometimes be located several hundred meters apart.

The result
Hearing protection and clear communication
The noise filter of the VOKKERO GUARDIAN enables clear and intelligible communication between the field teams.
The variety in the range of headsets and earpieces allows teams to choose the hearing protection that best suits their needs.
Enhanced safety
The maneuvering of machinery and lifting operations are now safe thanks to continuous communication, as if the operators were standing right next to each other.
Productivity improvement
Clear, fast, and instant communication enabled by the full-duplex functionality of the VOKKERO GUARDIAN system has improved the productivity of the work teams, thanks to instant exchanges that reduce unnecessary movements.

“The first benefit of the VOKKERO GUARDIAN is team cohesion, and the second is safety. We communicate without using gestures. It provides freedom at work while keeping everyone safe.”

FRANKI Fondation, finalist of the MASE AWARDS Île-de-France Normandie Centre 2023
“Communication within a team is a key factor in risk prevention.
Since 2021, Fayat Fondations has implemented a communication tool that allows team members to stay continuously connected in noisy environments.
This initiative was a finalist for the 2023 MASE AWARDS Île-de-France Normandie Centre.
