A subsidiary of the British group DS Smith, the Kunheim plant in the Bas-Rhin region specializes in the production of packaging, paper, and recycling services. Now operating internationally, the company has more than 30 sites across France.
The brief
The Kunheim plant operates two corrugators producing corrugated cardboard.
This noisy environment requires the use of hearing protection, making communication between operators very difficult.
Nearly 10 people work on each corrugator at the site, with an almost constant need for communication.
The deployed solution
We installed the VOKKERO GUARDIAN solution across all the corrugators at the plant to restore communication, which had become almost impossible due to the noise generated by the machines and the significant distance between team members on site.
With our audio communication solution tailored to the site’s infrastructure, forklift drivers and operators can now communicate easily and efficiently. The wireless system provides greater freedom of movement and improved working comfort. Finally, VOKKERO technology delivers a customized solution through the creation of different work groups.

As the environment is noisy, the noise filter enables clear exchanges and improves everyday working comfort.
Enhanced Safety
This audio system, combined with the ASO 400 bone-conduction headset, also ensures hearing protection for teams. Operators’ tasks are made safer thanks to continuous communication, as if they were standing right next to each other.

Thanks to constant communication, operators working on the corrugators can coordinate their actions more efficiently and improve overall productivity.
