The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue has acquired the VOKKERO GUARDIAN PLUS.

The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue needed radio systems for both the rescuers and the ship pilots.

The client

The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue is a national humanitarian association whose mission is to save lives, recover property, and protect the coastal environment of Norwegian waters, as well as to carry out awareness and accident prevention initiatives to improve safety at sea in Norway and abroad.

The brief

The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue required full-duplex radio systems to ensure secure internal communication for both rescuers and ship navigation.

It was crucial to find the best solution a reliable system that works under all conditions and to ensure the crew’s safety at all times.

The deployed solution

The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue implemented the use of the VOKKERO GUARDIAN PLUS across all 53 of its vessels after thoroughly testing several products from different manufacturers over a two-year period.

The result

Coverage range

Le système VOKKERO GUARDIAN PLUS a obtenu le score le plus élevé pour tous les critères et en particulier pour sa portée de couverture.

Harsh environments and high-pressure rescue situations

The VOKKERO GUARDIAN, paired with the 3M Peltor ComTac headset, provides a complete solution for use in harsh environments and high-pressure sea rescue situations.

Water resistance (IP67)

The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue required a version offering enhanced protection against water ingress (IP67). This need is now met with the use of the waterproof Aquapack solution and a “Dock system” clip attachment.

“The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue is very satisfied with VOGO. The VOKKERO GUARDIAN audio systems will also be installed on new vessels to be built in the near future.”
