Surgeons at the Vaudois University Hospital are equipped with the Guardian

Why use a communication system?

More specifically, the system is used by the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Department. During this type of operation, it is essential to have a high degree of precision in the medical procedure but also a flawless coordination with the technical teams located in a room separate from the operating room.

Thus, the Guardian terminal allows surgeons to communicate with the technical teams at any time thanks to its permanently open microphone.

Previously, the operating room was equipped with a microphone on the ceiling and surgeons had to speak aloud to communicate with the technical team. The quality and comfort of the patients were therefore not optimal.
